We Truly Care About the Health, Safety and Comfort of You and Our Employees
At Albemarle Heating & Air, your health, safety and comfort has been our priority since we’ve been in business and never more so than now during these uncertain times. As the situation surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, we’re monitoring and following official guidance from sources such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization to do our part in limiting the spread of COVID-19. The following are some of the steps we’re taking .
When You Schedule Service
To guard against the chance of spreading any illness, our Customer Service Representatives will ask you two questions. To your knowledge do you, or others in your home have any of the symptoms of the Coronavirus (i.e. fever, cough, difficulty breathing, loss of taste, loss of smell and/or fatigue)? Have you or any others in your home been in close contact with a person known to have the Coronavirus, or recently traveled from an area with the ongoing spread of the Coronavirus?
Before We Come To Your Home
We’re continuing to educate our employees on what to do to help slow down the spread of the Coronavirus. We’ve canceled all company and department meetings and those employees who can work remotely are staying home. Any employee who exhibits symptoms of COVID-19 (i.e. fever, cough, and/or difficulty breathing) are being instructed to stay home and refer to CDC protocols. Employees who are well but have a sick family member at home with COVID-19 or have been in contact with someone who has been exposed have been instructed to notify their supervisor and refer to CDC guidance for how to conduct a risk assessment of their own potential exposure.
At Your Home
In addition to our normal practices (wearing shoe covers, putting down floor protector, etc.) our technicians and installers are instructed to use hand sanitizer in the field before, after and during every service call. They have been instructed to frequently clean their tools with disinfecting wipes.
Our technicians and installers are instructed to keep a reasonable distance from customers while in the home. They will do everything they can to minimize their exposure with you while in your home and ultimately eliminate all personal contact as much as possible. For example, when a technician is at your home, they’ll ask you to change the settings on your thermostat rather than touching it themselves. They will ask for verbal approval rather than have you sign their iPads.
Thank you for your continued trust and confidence and in allowing us to help you with your family’s health, safety and comfort. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions you might have. We’re here to help you in any way that we can.
